Pt. Ramdas Palsule
Pt. Ramdas Palsuleji is a very familiar name to the worshipers of Hindustani music as an Intellectual Tabla Player who has carved a niche for himself at a very young age. Having achieved Bachelor's degree in engineering, Ramdas has been recognized as one of the most senior disciples of World Famous Tabla Maestro Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar. Besides performances, Ramdasji imparts training to the younger generation of students of Tabla. He is also appointed as a Guru in the Center for Performing Arts of the University of Pune. He has performed and accompanies several eminent artists in the country like Jitendra Abhisheki, Jasraj, Shivkumar Sharma, Ulhas Kashalkar, Shahid Parvez, Sultan Khan, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Tarun Bhattacharya, N. Rajam, Ronu Majumdar, Purbayan Chatterjee, Malini Rajurkar, Padma Deshpande, Veena Sahastrbuddhe and several others
Pt. Pravin Godkhindi
Pt. Pravin Godkhindiji hails from musical family and considered as one among most popular and leading flautist in the country. He learnt from his father Pt. Venkatesh Godkhindiji and also started toying with a small flute at the age of 3 years and made his first public performance at age of 6. He is 1st Indian flautist to perform on the 8 Feet contrabass flute. He is regarded as "Top Ranking Artiste" in Hindustani Bansuri, by Akashvani (AIR). Pt. Pravinji is 1st INDIAN to represent Bansuri at the WORLD FLUTE FESTIVAL held at Mendoza Argentina. Apart this he has performed at several international music and cultural extrvaganzas across the world. He received NATIONAL AWARDS for Films BERU & VIMUKTHI. He is Brand Ambassador for AKG Microphones. He is conferred with several titles including SURMANI, NAADA-NIDHI, SUR SAMRAT, KALAPRAVEENA, ARYABHATTA, AASTHANA SANGEET VIDWAN from udupi sri krishna mutt. He has also performed with some of the most eminent artists like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Dr. Balmurali Krishna, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Dr. Kadri Gopinath, Sivamani and several others
Kalaparva 2016
The idea behind 'Kalaparva' is to create a unique platform in USA that exhibits classical art forms (Indian) by renowned artists. The first Kalaparva event was held on May 8th, 2016, Sunday at Jain Temple Auditorium, Milpitas, California.
