Integrated Summer Camp (Life Skills) Age Group: 6 to 15 Years Dates: May 9 – 20, 2022 Time: 10 AM - 5 PM Location: Sri Guruvandana Global Pre-School, Rajrajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore 560098 Life Skills Workshops by Leading Artists on: 01. Theatre Skills and Acting 02. Storytelling 03. Mobile Filmmaking & Editing 04. Art Classes - Crafts, Painting, Pots, Origamy 05. Baking 06. Yakshagana 07. Team Building Instructor Details: Yakshagana / Theatre Dr. Radhakrishna Urala, a dedicated Yakshagana scholar, who has travelled across the globe teaching this Art form of Karnataka, will be training the students of this camp. He is been actively indulged in training and performance since 25 years. Urala is an active theatre artiste and trainer. Recently, he acted in the critically acclaimed Kannada movie “Ammacchi Emba Nenapu” in a female character (Old lady). Pavan Pai, a leading artiste in Kannada theatre and cinema, will host the theatre sessions along with Mr. Urala. Pavan acted as Kalidasa in the popular kannada play “Anabhigna Shakuntala” and was the lead actor in the film “Days of Borapura”. Art & Craft Smitha, a professional artiste from Chitra Kala Parishat, will handle the art and craft classes. In addition, Mr. Prakash, who is an expert craftsman, actively involved in design of commercials and feature films, will interact with the children sharing his exclusive craftsmanship. Mobile Filmmaking This is a new format that children will enjoy. Popular film director S D Arvinda, who directed Jugaari & Last Bus, will handle the Mobile Filmmaking session. Another filmmaker and writer, Manu K Shettihalli, writer of Days of Borapura, will share his knowledge about writing and also share skills on shooting with a mobile phone. Storytelling Ms. Sushma, a doyen in theatre and storytelling and daughter of popular theatre personality Late A S Murthy, who is active with Bimba, will enlighten the children with her storytelling sessions and also involve children in creating new stories. Baking Children love to assist their parents during cooking. And baking is something they would want to learn. Sushma, a baker from past 10 years, will share her knowledge on baking and involve children in hands on training to bake cookies and cakes. Performance The last day of the camp will be utilized to showcase what the children learnt in the camp. NOTE: 1. Students / Parents must adhere Covid norms and avoid participation if show any symptoms
